Colombo: Five people have died in the Marawila area of Wennappuwa after consuming a liquid suspected to be illegal alcohol, police said.
According to authorities, three men were found dead inside a house, while two others who were in critical condition died after being admitted to Wennappuwa Hospital.
Marawila Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause and circumstances surrounding the deaths.
