Photo Exhibition on Kashmir to open in Islamabad

Islamabad: Pakistan Photo Festival will host a photography exhibition and book launch titled Kashmir. Wait & See from Jan. 26 to 28 at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad.

The exhibition features work by Belgian photographer Cedric Gerbehaye and is curated by Shah Zaman Baloch, in collaboration with PNCA and the Kashmir Council EU.

Organisers said the long-term photographic work explores land, memory and everyday life in one of the world’s most militarised regions, focusing on human experiences shaped by decades of conflict since the 1947 partition of the subcontinent.

The exhibition will open on Jan. 26 and remain open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., alongside the launch of an accompanying photo book documenting Gerbehaye’s work from 2017 to 2024.
