Dhaka Court Jails Hasina, Rehana and Tulip in Plot Allocation Case

A Dhaka court has sentenced former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana, her daughter Tulip, and 14 others to varying prison terms in a case involving the illegal allocation of residential plots.
The verdict was delivered on Monday morning by Judge Robiul Alam of Dhaka’s Special Judge Court-4.
The case centered on allegations that the accused unlawfully obtained plot allocations during Hasina’s time in office. While details of the individual prison sentences were not immediately released, the court confirmed that all 17 defendants were convicted on charges linked to the misuse of authority in securing the allocations.
