MAL\u00c9: Four women from Uzbekistan and a Maldivian man were arrested on Saturday night on suspicion of running a prostitution operation from an apartment in a Hiyaa tower at Hulhumal\u00e9 Phase II.<\/p>\n

According to Maldives Police Service, the raid was conducted around 21:49 hrs on Saturday following a tip-off regarding prostitution involving foreign women, as well as the possession and use of drugs.<\/p>\n

The suspects arrested include:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Hussain Solah, 40, Cuba, R. Rasgetheemu (Maldivian)<\/li>\n
  2. Zareema Gulamovena Dejuraeva, 40 (Uzbekistan)<\/li>\n
  3. Dildora Egamnovaza, 31 (Uzbekistan)<\/li>\n
  4. Shahuzodokhan Rusthamova, 28 (Uzbekistan)<\/li>\n
  5. Umidabonu Nemarova, 34 (Uzbekistan)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Police said all five were detained during a court-authorized search of an apartment in Hiyaa Tower 12, identified as the crime scene. Solah and Dejuraeva are believed to have been leading the operation.<\/p>\n

    Authorities seized more than USD 19,100 and MVR 18,000 from the apartment during the raid.<\/p>\n

    Following their court appearance, Solah and Dejuraeva were remanded for 10 days, while the remaining three women were remanded for five days.<\/p>\n
