Intoday\u2019s world, humor research in psychology becomes more and more popular, as humor studies is a multifaceted field that enters domains of linguistics, history, and literature. Even, many clinicians suggest a sense of humor disorder as an important diagnostic criterion. Research revealed various theories of humor and different kinds of humor. But the perception of humor is a complex cognitive-emotional phenomenon that has been found to be disturbed in people with schizophrenia.<\/p>\n

Usually, schizophrenia involves delusions, hallucinations, unusual physical behavior, and disorganized thinking and speech. It is common for people with schizophrenia to have paranoid thoughts or hear voices. Though schizophrenia isn\u2019t as common as other major mental illnesses, it can be the most chronic and disabling. Schizophrenia is not a split or multiple personality. At times, people with psychotic disorders lose touch with reality and their behavior may be strange and even shocking.<\/p>\n

In males, the condition usually shows its first sign in teenage, and mostly affects females in their early 20s and 30s. The period when symptoms first start and before full psychosis is called a prodromal period. It can last days, weeks, or even years. It can be hard to spot because there\u2019s usually no specific trigger. You might only notice subtle behavioral changes, especially in teen schizophrenia usually take hold after puberty.
\nBasically, people with serious mental disorders can interpret reality abnormally. The exact causes of schizophrenia are still unknown.
\nSymptoms include hearing voices, feeling that people are out to get you, and having false beliefs that are not based on reality
\nResearch suggests a combination of physical, genetic, psychological, and environmental factors can make a person more likely to develop a condition, caused by a chemical imbalance and other changes in the brain. Symptoms include hearing voices, feeling that people are out to get you, and having false beliefs that are not based on reality. Some examples include following or misbehaving with the nurse for no reason; making weird and strange facial expressions; walking around in a bad condition, mood or attire; turning upside down and assuming as a ceiling fan and teaching like a teacher in the conscious state and trying to disappear soon after the arrival of the teacher in the classroom.<\/p>\n

For the general public, schizophrenia is not a disorder to be ignored, as this syndrome may lead to death. We should consider that every person who consults with a psychologist is particularly important to health and well-being. It is essential for families to be informed and support themselves. It is important to know that depression is a starting point for schizophrenia. After a long period of depression, it leads to schizophrenia which can be a difficult illness for everyone. During episodes of psychosis, your loved one may experience frightening sensations that you can\u2019t understand. They may act in ways that you don\u2019t understand. They can still be hard to cope with.<\/p>\n

Try to maintain your friendships or the network of people that you have in your life. These will later become important supports as your loved one recovers. Educate them and update them on your loved one\u2019s recovery. People are sometimes afraid to ask questions about schizophrenia and this will put them at ease. Living with schizophrenia, it is possible to meet people, to socialize and make friends, and have a loving relationship.
