Model Areeba Habib’s combined Shaadi and Mehendi ceremony, dubbed ‘Shendi’ was a star-studded affair, attended by several members of the showbiz industry including Iqra Aziz, Yasir Hussain, Aiman Khan and Mansha Pasha.
Areeba made a lovely bride in a heavily-embellished Shehla Chatoor number in silver with maroon accents. The model donned a longline kameez, pairing it with a floor-sweeping lehenga, complete with ruffles. Accessorised with traditional jewellery, including a teeka, jhoomar, choker and earrings, the model carried a matching embellished mini handbag.
The groom, Saadain, opted for a classic black sherwani and maroon pocket square to complement the bride’s look.
Actors Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain were also spotted at the wedding event posing for photographs. Iqra wore a white Hussain Rehar outfit, wearing her hair down and accessorising with minimal jewellery, while Yasir opted for a black kurta and tan shawl combo.
Laal Kabootar starlet Mansha Pasha donned a white off-shoulder outfit, embellished with applique flowers. The lehenga-choli was paired with a matching white dupatta, with Mansha keeping the accessories to a minimum.
Celebrity couple Shahroz Sabzwari and Sadaf Kanwal were also in attendance, with the couple matching in black. Shahroz opted for a black t-shirt and pants combo, pairing it with a blazer, while Sadaf opted for a colourful shawl over her basic velvet kurta.
Politician Sharmila Faruqi attended the event in a red velvet kameez, embellished with silver beading and threadwork.
Also present at the event were TV host Anoushey Ashraf and actor Zhalay Sarhadi, who fully embraced the Mehendi part of the function. Anoushey opted for a bright yellow longline kameez, while Zhalay went for an orange and red pishwaas.
Actor Aiman Khan’s outfit also gave off a similar vibe, with the starlet opting for a mustard yellow and gold dress.
Sumbul Iqbal Khan was seen decked up in traditional Mehendi colours, with the actor sporting a peplum blouse over a floral threadwork lehenga. She accessorised with an oversized teeka and dangly earrings.
Model Fouzia Aman was also among the guests at the event looking as elegant as ever in a black saari, paired with a matching velvet cutout blouse with lantern sleeves.
Areeba walked out of 2021 a married woman, tying the knot on December 31. The model transformed into a stunning bride in a classic red ensemble on her big day. Sharing several photos with her hubby, she tagged designers Hussain Rehar and Deepak Perwani. Opting for heavy gold and green jewellery by Ali Javeri Jewelers, Areeba opted for a hefty jhoomar, pairing it with a teeka, earrings, a choker necklace, a nose ring and a long neckpiece with her hands decked in a panjagla.
