UK Gurdwara holds voting for Khalistan referendum

More than 6,000 Sikhs hailing from various countries have taken part in voting for the referendum in Khalistan, according to the Kashmir Media Service. The report said that the referendum – comprising voters from Switzerland, France, Italy and Germany – was held at the Gurdwara Ramgharia in the United Kingdom on Sunday. The event initially kicked off in London on October 31, with over 30,000 Sikhs participating in it. On the other hand, the huge participation of Sikhs in the activity for their homeland has unnerved India as its false propaganda against the community failed to prevent it. The result of the referendum will be declared by Punjab Referendum Commission after the final phase of voting and that will be held in the next six months. The findings of the referendum would be shared with the UN, international bodies and a wider consensus would be created. He observed that there is an artificial face of India that it projects to the world as peaceful and benign but its real face is draconian and ugly. "Indian establishment is involved in reprisal, through the cancellation of visas and threats, against Sikhs living in the UK, USA, Canada and the EU for supporting and participating in Khalistan Referendum," Pannun added.
